About Our Team

Ted Troutman graduated cum laude from Lewis & Clark's Northwest School of Law. He is a two-time recipient of the Lawyers' Cooperative Publishing Jurisprudence Award, given to exemplary law students. As a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Mr. Troutman stays well versed in aspects of his field. Additionally, he is a member of both the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.


Phillip Muir is a graduate of the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.

He is a member of the Oregon State Bar, Washington County Bar Association, and the Oregon State Bar Real Estate Section.


After serving 10 years in the U.S. Navy, Legal Assistant Lawerence “Rusty” Jacobson graduated from Portland State University with high honors. Before joining Muir & Troutman, Rusty worked for the district Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee of Oregon.
